Become a member at OUr new garden Location on Track St.

Our new community garden on Track St. has their first members this year!

The LFI has added an additional Community Garden location in Revelstoke. In 2022, this location was used primarily to grow food for the food bank, however in 2023 we were able to accept members.

The Garden is located on Track St. overlooking the community of Revelstoke and the amazing mountains that surround it. What better place to garden!

It’s been a great season up on the hill with tons of produce going to both plot holders and the Food Bank.

Feel free to swing by and check it out!

Downtown Community Garden

The Downtown Community Garden is being used as an educational tool for our 2023 Little Sprouts Program. If you find yourself admiring the efforts of Revelstoke’s littlest gardeners and notice an abundance of veggies ready to harvest - please help yourself!

How it started:

In 2008, as a committee of the North Columbia Environmental Society, the LFI established an organic community garden at the Revelstoke United Church with the purpose of providing a growing space for the community, growing food for the Revelstoke Food Bank and demonstrating environmentally sustainable practices. Each year since, the garden has enjoyed different members and programming to enhance its offerings.

Ten years later, starting in 2018, the garden is now fully planted and cared for by the children of our community with the help of our Little Sprouts Coordinator.

The program is always looking for volunteers, and anyone interested should reach out!
