SPONSORSHIP

Sponsoring or donating to the Local Food Initiative is an investment in community well-being, food literacy, and local resilience. Your support helps us grow local food in our gardens, deliver hands-on education, and host community events that connect people to the land and their community.

Through sponsorship, partners play a vital role in strengthening our capacity to deliver programming that supports food security, made-in-Revelstoke programming including workshops & educational resources, and creating inclusive programs that ensure everyone in our community can participate in and benefit from a thriving local food system.

Community Events

Sponsoring our community events puts your business in front of a highly engaged local audience while directly supporting vibrant, community-centered celebrations of food, culture, and connection. Your partnership helps us deliver welcoming, inclusive events that showcase local food, bring people together, and strengthen community pride. In return, sponsors gain meaningful brand exposure aligned with shared values of sustainability, collaboration, and investing in the place we call home.

Opportunities for sponsorship:

  • Monetary donations towards our Revelstoke garlic festival programming (ie: sponsor the stage, sponsor the kids programming etc).

  • Food & beverage from local business for the Midsummer Night’s Green farm-to-table dinner.

  • In-kind for supplies needed to activate our events.

  • Farmer’s Market sponsorship opportunities.

In 2025, through the generous donations and sponsorships from Revelstoke businesses, engagement from local partners and strong community engagement we raised just over $18,000 for our programming at our fundraising events! All the while creating engaging events and celebrations of our local food culture.

Gardens & education

Sponsoring our community gardens and education programs creates a powerful triple impact in the community. Every dollar directly supports 1) growth of fresh, local food for community access, 2) creates hands-on learning opportunities in the gardens, and 3) helps provide meaningful employment for the coordinators who steward these spaces.

Your support strengthens food security, builds food literacy, and invests in the people who make our gardens thrive—cultivating long-term resilience from the ground up.

Opportunities for sponsorship:

  • Monetary contribution to the gardens and education programs that goes towards contractor wages, infrastructure development and supplies.

  • In-kind with materials needed to operate the gardens.

  • Access to space for workshops.

  • Land access for community garden program growth.

  • Discounts at local shops.

In 2025 we raised $14,250 from local businesses to put towards the development of our new community garden space on Illeciallewaet road. This, in addition to a contribution from the Columbia Basin Trust infrastructure development fund and the Redi grant we were able to develop a 0.25 acre plot of land to increase access to growing opportunities in a truly inclusive way, and we donated almost 2000 lbs of food to our local food bank.
