Build your understanding from the ground up and discover practical ways to nurture healthier, more resilient plants.

Food Commons Demonstration Farm

Small scale, regenerative agriculture built by you.

The Food Commons demonstration farm is a living, working space where food and knowledge grow side by side. Rooted in Indigenous foodways and a deep respect for the land, the farm is tended by our coordinator and a community of volunteers who come together to grow, harvest, and learn throughout the season. It is a place where traditional practices and community care meet, and where everyone is welcome to get their hands in the soil.

Want to get involved?

Whether you're an experienced grower or just curious about where your food comes from, there are ways to be part of the demonstration farm. Join us for Early Birds, our drop-in volunteer sessions every Tuesday and Friday morning (8:30-11:30 am), where you'll work alongside the coordinator and fellow community members, and take home a share of the day's harvest. No experience necessary.
